    Are samebike electric bikes legal in Europe and UK?

    The SAMEBIKE electric bicycle is fully compliant with the legal regulations for assisted bicycles in both the European Union and the United Kingdom:

    1)Maximum Speed:
    The default speed setting upon purchase aligns with EU/UK regulations at 25KM/H. However, for those inclined, it's possible to unlock the speed limit to reach 35KM/H or higher (instructions to remove the limit can be obtained from customer service).

    2)Maximum Power:
    The motor doesn't have explicit power markings, adhering to EU/UK regulations. The actual motor power is indicated by the "D" code, like "500W" as "500D" or "250W500D," encompassing both rated and peak power within legal limits.

    3)Pure Electric Drive Mode:
    The bike comes with a detachable thumb throttle. Removing it complies with EU/UK regulations, which prohibit a pure electric mode. However, users can install the throttle according to preference for a pure electric mode (instructions for the detachable throttle are included or available via customer service).

    4)Product COC Certification:
    All SAMEBIKE models have obtained CE and UKCA certifications from the EU's ECM institution, ensuring full compliance with legal standards.

    SAMEBIKE LOTDM200-II is a step-through fat tire folding electric bike suitable for any height. It is suitable for beach, off-road, city riding and commuting, and can also be carried for travel.

    Although SAMEBIKE electric bikes are designed to handle wet conditions, please keep in mind that riding in heavy rain may affect battery life and reduce traction, so please be careful and try to avoid riding in the rain. As for the waterproof rating, the entire bike meets the IP54 standard, the motor, battery and display is the IP64.

    I am extremely satisfied with this electric bike. It perfectly meets my needs for daily commuting. The battery life is impressive, allowing me to cover long distances on a single charge. The design is stylish and robust, providing a comfortable and smooth ride, even on uneven surfaces. The acceleration is smooth, and the brakes are responsive, ensuring a safe riding experience. One downside is that it requires two keys to start, which is great for security but easy to forget. Overall, a high-quality product I would highly recommend.

    Well made electric bike

    This electric bike is well made. It came nicely protected, no defects found during assembling. Right out of the box it’s more than half together already, just needed to setup the front wheel, front light, lock the front steering bar and put on the pedals. Pretty simple to do if you are familiar with bikes in general, if not, the pictured instructions can help. Took some closeup pictures of the front portion of the bike to show my fellow shoppers where the parts go in case of confusions. There are removable stickers on the bike to let you know important informations on using the bike which is thoughtful, like the one says maximum weight limit for the back seat is 39lbs, I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for the sticker since I tend to skip user manual a lot and explore new things on my own. Both me and my husband, about 110lbs and 140lbs, find this bike comfortable to sit and ride. And the easily removable battery is a plus. Overall decent quality and design.

    This small electric bicycle is very convenient for shopping at nearby stores. It can also be folded and placed in the car. The battery is also very durable and easy to install. Most importantly, it is very easy to ride. It is suitable for both men and women.

    Over expectations

    When I bought it I was not aware of the folding so that was a plus. I’m a bigger size male (200 lbs) and it felt very secure. Assemble takes around half an hour. The brake in the back works better than the front but overall the brakes works just fine. Be aware when unfolding make sure the pedals are not in the way. Great value for its price, now I don’t need to worry about mounting it. Battery last very well for a 13 miles ride.
